I will refrain from setting the context and jump right into the scene.
Martin, a fellow intern and me find ourselves in an Italian restaurant, and I'm the only sober person there. 'It would be funny,' reasons Martin, 'if each of us had his own pizza.'
I concur.
What I didn't account for, though, was this:
Look at the size of that thing!
I did not have a pair of calipers at hand, but I managed, nevertheless, to measure the outside diameter of the pizza. It came to 45 +- 2 cm. (Why panic, when you have 11 1/2" A4 at hand? )
Pause for a moment and think of how big that is.
I was licking my lips at the sight.
I was groaning in pain at the end, though.
(The paper you see in my pocket was used to measure the diameter. Sadly, a perfectly good copy of this was ruined, but you do need to make choices in life, ya? )
What do you do with an espresso that, should you attempt to drink it, threatens your sanity?

Uhh, I didn't quite understand what you did to your espresso, but not sure if I want to :-)
Either you have been dabbling in the history of 19th century polemics, or have gotten very interested in the philosophical ramifications of the theory of gases, hmm ? Either way, I was quite surprised to see the term `Action at a Distance' being used in February 1895! I thought it came after quantum mechanics..
I thought 'Action at a Distance' came with Maxwell's equations.
I'm not sure we're talking about the same idea, though.
As for the paper, I'm afraid I'm a bit of a Boltzmann freak. :|
